About

My first degree was in Sport and Exercise Science which I completed in 2004, I then went on to qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2009 working with people firstly on hospital wards and then specialising in musculoskeletal outpatients. Early on I knew I wanted to work with dogs I had a keen interest in dog Agility and have done so for over 10 years, so I studied at the Nottingham Vet School the course they offered was specifically to work with small animals therefore the entire course was focused on my interest area which was a huge benefit over other courses that had a primary focus on equine. I qualified as a Veterinary Physiotherapist in 2015 since then I have specialised in water based treatment and sporting dogs, having the Sport Science background gave me a huge insight into performance enhancement.

I started working at K9HS in Suffolk when I first qualified and began a mobile service while still working with people in a private Musculoskeletal clinic. Since then I have continued to treat a few people but my main client base is working with dogs. I work from Greenstead Green Hydrotherapy clinic where I am able to do water based treatment and from Horsham in West Sussex where I offer land based treatment, this is also where I continue to do agility training.

I continue to train and compete regularly at agility but it first started with my Whippet Gus, since then I have trained my Standard Poodle, Chihuahua X Toy Poodle and 4 Border Collies, having the pleasure of all these breeds in my life has really helped my understanding of  breed specific differences between dogs and has helped with my approach with rehabilitation.
